Top Seeds ready for Cabreiroa Pantin Classic Pro

Madrid, Sep. 13 (ANDINA). Peruvian surfer Sofia Mulanovich on Tuesday makes her debut at the Cabreiroa Pantin Classic Pro, to be held from September 13 to 18 with the participation of over 180 surfers from five continents.
Mulanovich, considered one of the most important surfers worldwide, will face off against Hawaii’s Alana Blanchard; Australia’s Sally Fitzgibbons, Jessi Miley-Dyer and Claire Bevilacqua; South Africa’s Rossane Hodge; and New Zealand’s Paige Hareb.
The ASP Cabreiroa Pantin Classic Pro is a truly iconic event which has solidified over the decades as one of Europe’s best professional surfing events. ‘La Factoria’ of Pantin is guaranteed to produce some excellent quality waves with the first of the early autumn swells expected to hit the Galician coast during the event window.
Surfer’s of the calibre of Wiggolly Dantas (BRA), Dion Atkinson (AUS), and last year’s winner Billy Stairmand (NZL) are confirmed and will be out to battle for the ASP 5-Star Cabreiroa Pantin Classic Pro title along with top European’s Aritz Aranburu (EUK), Jonathan Gonzalez (CNY) and Joan Duru (FRA).
In turn, the ASP 6-Star Cabreiroa Pantin Classic Pro women’s event has brought together the some of the world’s best female athletes to Pantin with names such as defending champion Courtney Conlogue (USA), former ASP world champion Sophia Mulanovich, as well as up-and-comers Lakey Peterson (USA) and Sarah Mason (NZL) who are both on the verge of qualifying for the 2012 ASP Women’s World Tour.
