Nikki Van Dijk (AUS) has taken out the ASP Women’s World Junior Title after defeating Bianca Buitendag (ZAF) in an epic Final at the Oakley ASP World Junior Championships Bali. The surf was in the 6 foot (2 meter) range, with flawless tubes and walls reeling down the reef at Keramas setting the perfect stage for the battle for an ASP World Junior Title.

The 2012 Oakley ASP World Junior Championships Bali relocated to the other side of the island and set-up at Keramas for Round 2, 3, Quarterfinals and the Semifinals of the Women’s draw today. There were some long lulls in-between sets, but it was well worth the wait with 3 to 4 foot (1.5 – 2 meter) beautiful waves on offer. After a long day of surf action there are only two women left in the event vying to be crowned ASP Women’s World Junior Champion.

The 2012 Oakley ASP World Junior Championships Bali is back on at Echo Beach, Canggu with the Women’s Rounds. “We had a great full day of competition yesterday and we’re expecting similar for today,” Beau Emerton Oakley ASP World Junior Championships Contest Director said. “The surf is a touch smaller, but the women are ready to go and we’re excited to see what they can do.”

Nikki Van Dijk (Phillip Island, VIC/AUS) has claimed women’s ASP Australasia Pro Junior Series title for 2012. Niki has won multiple events and were clearly the standout surfer on her respective series’ and will now go on to compete on the ASP World Junior Tour.
